CalandraBot is a system that enables continuous communication between devices and servers, displaying in real time on a map the position and sensor data from mobile robots and connected devices.
CalandraBot is built on a Python/Django architecture with REST APIs that manage continuous communication between devices and the server.
The frontend, developed in JavaScript with Leaflet, shows the position and orientation of each unit on a map, updating in real time.
The infrastructure natively interacts with ROS2, allowing the publication and reading of topics such as /tf, /odom, /temperature, and other sensor data streams.
The system receives, processes, and stores information in JSON format, ensuring stability and continuous updates even under imperfect network conditions.
The project was tested on Raspberry Pi 5 and Jetson Orin Nano, with LIDAR sensors, digital thermometers, and environmental acquisition modules.
Communication occurs via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket, making the system compatible with different devices and easily extendable.

Simultaneous management of multiple operational units, each uniquely identified
CalandraBot represents a solid technological foundation for developing real-time data monitoring and management systems.
The project demonstrates how embedded devices, advanced sensors, and modern web architectures can be integrated to acquire, process, and visualize complex information reliably and stably.
CalandraBot’s modular and scalable structure ensures compatibility with different devices and allows easy extension of functionalities. The project thus provides a strong technical base for developing other Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) projects, confirming the value of an integrated and innovative approach.
